Buggy Bandits · last updated October 6, 2026
Buggy Bandits is made by a small independent team. The code, the story, the dialogue and the world are our own work. Every 3D model and texture in the game is built in code as the game loads; there are no bought or borrowed art assets.
Engine and fonts
- three.js r128, the 3D engine, MIT License, loaded from cdnjs.
- Rye and IM Fell English, under the SIL Open Font License, and Special Elite, under the Apache License 2.0, from Google Fonts.
Music, voices and sound (made with AI)
We used open AI models for the game's audio. Every script, lyric and character description came from us.
- Music: original songs and instrumentals, including the ballad "The Drifter of Dry Gulch", with lyrics by us, composed and performed with ACE-Step v1 3.5B (Apache License 2.0).
- Voices: every character's voice was designed from a written description and voiced with Qwen3-TTS (Apache License 2.0). No voice is a clone of a real person.
- Sound effects: 45 effects (gunfire, the whip, hooves, the saloon crowd and more) generated with Stable Audio Open Small under the Stability AI Community License. Powered by Stability AI. The train whistle and the fallback sounds are synthesised in code.
Promotional art
The logo and the illustrated key art on our trailers, thumbnails and pages were made with AI image models. In-game footage in our trailers is captured from the game itself.
